Purpose Statement

St. Catherine’s Common Ground Core Team is a group that organizes the parish around larger social issues in our neighborhood, city and region. It is affiliated with Common Ground Southeastern Wisconsin, a non-partisan citizens’ organization that is currently working on healthcare reform, youth jobs, affordable housing and neighborhood safety. Common Ground has over 55 member organizations, mostly churches but also synagogues, mosques, small businesses, labor and civic groups. St. Catherine’s Core Team identifies talented people in the congregation and matches them up to their ministerial interests and tries to involve parishioners in Common Ground’s action campaigns.
