Purpose Statement
The Council is a vehicle for fulfilling the pastoral mission of the parish. We do this by fostering growth within the parish family and by sharing of spiritual gifts and talents. We try to encourage positive relationships among all members of the parish, by collaborating within our United Cross Cluster Parishes, and our neighborhood community.
The Council is involved in planning to meet the needs of Saint Catherine Parish, the archdiocese and the broader community, with a vision for the future and a strong basis in stewardship. The Council also advises the pastor and develops policies that support the activities and programs fostering the spiritual, moral, and temporal well being of Saint Catherine Parish.

Responsibilities of Committee Liaisons:
Committee Liaisons are the vital communication link between the Council and the standing committees that do much of the work in the parish. As a liaison, you are responsible to:
•Make sure that your committee knows who you are. Exchange contact information with the committee chair.
•Make sure that you know your committee. This includes who the members are, when the committee meets, and the committee’s mission.
•Report the committee’s activities to the Council. Be sure to report any concerns or issues from your committee to the Council. This is best accomplished by attending committee meetings. Use the standard form to report.
•Deliver any important information from the Council to your committee.Use the commitee liason report
